Meet our New Principal!

Mrs. Dabbert visited Eastridge on Wednesday, June 3 to meet staff and students. Mrs. Dabbert was treated to a pizza luncheon and a welcome basket. We are excited Mrs. Dabbert is joining our Eastridge family. We wish Dr. Reckewey much happiness. She will be missed!

Field Day 2009

Thank you Miss Forsberg, Field Day Committee, staff, and the many parent volunteers who helped to make Field Day a huge success. Field Day was on the last day of school, June 4. Students in K-2 enjoyed many activities in the morning from chalk drawing to parachute. In the afternoon, students in grades 3-5 had fun with sack races and tug-o-war.

And the Award goes to...

Eastridge held its annual Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, June 3. Awards were presented in numerous catergories by Dr. Reckewey, Mrs. Drahota, and staff. Lillie Larsen, LPS Board President and Dr. Gourley, LPS Superintendent were in attendance. Mrs. Larsen donated books to our media center. Dr. Reckewey was recognized by staff and students with a signed photograph. To end the assembly, slideshows of photos from the year were presented with 5th graders leaving the gym to cheers by students and staff.

Congratulations to Evan H.!

Evan was one of three state-wide winners of the McDonald’s Chief Standing Bear Essay Contest. Evan received a $50 savings bond and of course, breakfast at McDonald’s! The honor was given at the Chief Standing Bear State Commemoration in the State Capitol Rotunda on May 15, 2009. We are very proud of Evan – kudos to him!
